ILLUMINATE is seeking individuals and groups from the art and technology sectors to present at ILLUMINATE. 

ILLUMINATE is a free celebration of innovation and imagination for the community, art lovers, and families. Artists working with technology and using light as their medium will use Downtown Salt Lake CIty’s Library Square as a canvas to create projection-mapped artwork, 3D Sculptures and exhibits. 

We are currently accepting applications for Exhibitors, including STEAM Lab Exhibitors, and Performers. 

STEAM Lab is an experimental space with “hands on” educational experiences. Utilizing the principles of STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, ARTS and mathematics), we are curating an indoor space of vendor and exhibitor booths with STEAM exhibits and interactive activities. 

STEAM Lab is an exhibitor hall much like a grown up science fair where people will be wandering from booth to booth. We are looking for clubs, companies, schools, STEAM presentations, vendors with STEAM products and anyone who would be interested in showing off a STEAM related project! This could be anything from woodworking to electronics, the physics of machines, how a guitar is made, electricity or movement of something you made. Our goal is to inspire others and teach others something new!

About:

ILLUMINATE is a Light Art & Creative Technology Festival in Downtown SLC, the first of its kind in the region. This event, produced by the Utah Arts Alliance, invites the community to explore our city in a whole new light, by highlighting our history, culture and community using light, art and technology.

Festival Dates and Hours:

November 10 and 11, 2023
5 to 11 pm

(indoor activities may open earlier and some installations may be displayed until midnight)

Timeline:

Submissions Due: Saturday, October 14th at 11:59 pm

Artists and vendors are selected and notified: Friday, October 20th

Installation: November 10 and 11

Removal: November 11 and 12
