What if the weather is bad?

We are closely monitoring the weather to ensure an enjoyable festival experience. At this time there is no chance of rain or snow. It will be cold so we encourage everyone to bundle up!
If the weather changes, we will share updates on festival activities on Instagram and Facebook.

Either way, it’ll be cold so make sure to bundle up!

ADA Access

ILLUMINATE features light art that can be unsafe for people with light sensitivities. Please check the event map, available below and at Info Booths during the festival for more information about art installations with flashing lights. Sunglasses will be available at Info Booths upon request.

Where can I park?

200 E. will be closed to vehicles between 400 S. and 500 S.

The Salt Lake City Library underground parking lot will be open aSend to: ri*@ut******.orgnd accessible during festival hours. The underground parking facility can be accessed from westbound 500 South or eastbound 400 South between 200 and 300 East

What public transportation
can I take to the festival?

The closest trax station to ILLUMINATE is Library Station on the Red Line which falls in the free fare zone. Bus routes are also available.

When is the Drone Show?

There will be two drone shows this year. One on Friday, November 10 at 9pm and one on Saturday, November 11 at 9pm. Prime viewing area is from the festival grounds on 200 East. ADA seating will be available.

Will there be places to sit down?

There will be seating options throughout the festival including ADA seating for the Drone Shows, Film Screening area, and Projection Mapping viewing area in front of the City and County Building.

Rules of Conduct

IllUMINATE is a free event for all to attend. Please note that you WILL be entering through a security checkpoint for the safety of you and others.

No weapons will be permitted on the premises.

No outside food or beverage will be permitted.
